So you're new to the comic, are ya?
Well gee whiz, even as the artist of the comic, I often find it hard to describe, but I'll try my best. Put simply, Girly is a comic about two girls, and the adventures in the town they live in. It's a story-based comic which is supposed to be sort of funny and romantic from time to time. It contains a lot of people trying to awkwardly live their lives in a really bizarre setting. If this sounds right up your alley, there are a few ways to jump into this comic:

Generally I recommend starting from the recap, as it'll give you a pretty good idea about everything that's going on whilst only having to get caught up on 150 comics or so, and it also gives you a better idea of the art and writing style of the current comics, which have evolved quite a bit over time. However, if you are feeling brave, you can give starting from the beginning a try. Surely you've blown ten hours on worse things!

Otra A fashion designer who has spent most of her adult life feeling all down in the mouth about her successful yet empty life. Things turned around when she became a sidekick. During her adventures with Winter, Otra has excelled at providing brute strength, and the occasional voice of reason.	Winter A beautiful but somewhat silly natural-born leader, and daughter of the best leader and sidekick team the town has ever known. Once she found Otra, Winter likes to jump into whatever adventure she can find. It's what she does.
Marshmallow Kitty A cat about town that took a liking to the girls. Now it often keeps them company wherever they go.	Collette Winter's half-sister, born from a night of passion between her mom and a cut-and-paste character. Now living in Cute-town after a bit of a family crisis. She likes videogames and is having a hard time accepting her sister's way of life.
Sandra Collette's best friend and roommate. Despite being a minor character, she's somehow had her life tied up with many of the crazy events in Cutetown.	Policeguy One of the best officers the CutePD has to offer. He became a good friend with Winter and Otra through their adventures. He's oftened partnered with Officer Hipbone, which can be a bit awkward at times.
Officer Hipbone The sexy but cranky CutePD officer, who proved to be a major stick-in-the-mud for the girls in the later chapters. She comes from a long line of policewomen and is very dedicated to her job.	Chuy Formerly known as El Chupacabre, the lover of women far and wide. He has an effect on ladies throughout his adult life that cannot be explained by science. The effect is so heavy, it leads to awkward public situations.
Autumn A normal college girl who unsuspectingly gets her life caught up in Cutetown's adventures, after forging an online relationship with a certain someone.	Mickey and Babs Mickey is a bit of a flirty goofball and Babs is her sarcastic childhood friend. They've been friends of Autumn since high school, always looking out for each other.
Josh and Lemon Josh is Mickey's idiot brother. Lemon is his tagalong friend. For some reason or another, they seem to enjoy having adventures much like Winter and Otra do.	Chuy's Brothers Mariacho and Lambeda are two brothers out for revenge!
The Kill Fisters Jenocres can punch through skulls, and has to wear boxing gloves as limiters. Gelaldy can wield 50 swords at once. Velagunder is really huge and overweight, and that makes her powerful somehow. Together, they are the Kill Fisters, protectors of Cutetown U.	The Staff of HappyCo Led by the company president Miss Tina Ferrari, a well-meaning but easily-frustrated and corporate-minded lady. Her loyal staff consists of her secretary Cheyenne, and Miles and Headlock, the heads of security. Gradually they've been setting up many strange but helpful businesses in the city.
Broadway Product Analysis Chief at Happyco, often seen working out in the field, fixing whatever accidents the company causes.	Lucy The wise and kindhearted veterinarian of Cutetown. She's quite a genius, and has no trouble making it known to others.
Yumi Dr Lucy's tiny nurse, a student of Animology from Quebec	Winter's Parents The greatest leader and sidekick Cutetown has ever known!
Otra's Parents Otra's tough and overbearing mother and dopey father shaped her into what she was at the start of the comic.	Captain Fist A powerful but completely idiotic superhero. He enjoys fighting for justice whilst singing songs about it.
